navigating my limits

My Limit

🧭 Navigating My Limits

I am a very open-minded person and have relatively few hard limits, but the ones I do have matter deeply to me. They come from knowing who I am, what helps me feel safe , and what allows me to explore with trust and confidence.

I believe the best experiences are built not only on shared desires, but also on mutual respect for each other's limits and boundaries. The following limits are an important part of that.

It is worth noting that my limits are not set in stone. Like many things, they can change as I grow, learn, heal, experience, or simply discover new things about myself. Some limits may become firmer over time, while others may soften or evolve. Because of that, I intend to keep this document updated so that it continues to reflect where I am currently.

Hard Limits

Abandonment

I am physically strong but emotionally sensitive. I do not consent to being intentionally abandoned, discarded, or emotionally neglected.

Connection means a great deal to me. I need to know that the people I trust will not intentionally make me feel forgotten, disposable, or unwanted.

Body Modification

I do not consent to intentional alterations to my body or appearance. This includes things such as piercings, hair cutting or shaving, broken bones, and any other lasting or significant physical changes.

I value my body. Any changes to my appearance or body should always be my own choice.

Slavery

I do not consent to slavery dynamics or relationships where I give up my autonomy or sense of self. I do not consent to absolute ownership.

I can surrender deeply, but I still want to remain myself. My submission is meaningful because it is freely given, not because I have ceased to be my own person.

Arbitrary Punishments

I am not a roleplayer, and I do not enjoy made-up punishments or invented reasons to justify hurting me.

To me, punishment should be about correcting behaviour, reinforcing agreed rules, or addressing a genuine breach of trust or expectations.

I value authenticity. If someone wants to hurt me as part of a consensual dynamic, I would rather they be honest about that than pretend I have done something wrong. I do not need an invented justification to make it meaningful.

Soft Limits

Extreme Electric Play

Tasers, cattle prods, and other forms of extreme shock play.

I had a negative experience with electrical play in the past. I need a great deal of care and patience to rebuild the trust and confidence I once had with it.

I would like to explore it again one day, but only in a safe environment, with someone I trust, and entirely at my own pace. Never with careless hands.

The curiosity is still there, but rebuilding confidence is more important than rushing.

Masks

Masks trigger a strong fight-or-flight response for me and can be genuinely frightening.

Part of that comes from traumatic experiences I have had with masked men in the past.

Because of those experiences, masks evoke a level of fear that feels instinctive rather than playful.

That fear could make them a powerful tool in the right CNC context or serve as an effective entry point into fear play. At the same time, it is not something I would explore lightly. It would require significant trust , careful negotiation, and someone who understands how to create fear safely without causing harm.

The fear is real, which is exactly why it deserves to be approached with care. If I ever choose to explore it, it will be because I feel safe enough to do so, not because I have been pushed into it.

Needle Play

I am comfortable with self-administered needles, including self-injections and other forms of self-directed needle play, as part of my own journey to overcome trauma and PTSD responses.

I am not actively looking to explore needle play with others.

If I ever choose to explore it with another person, it will only be because trust has been built slowly, intentionally, and over time.

Verbal Abuse

I enjoy some forms of verbal degradation, but not others. Context matters to me.

Sexual slurs, or reminders of who I am, why I am in a situation, what led me there, what I need, or what I crave, can be deeply meaningful in the right dynamic. They can evoke powerful feelings of vulnerability, helplessness, exposure, and surrender. After all... I am a damsel. 🩷

What I do not enjoy are insults that make me feel bullied, worthless, unattractive, or personally devalued. For some people, those words may enhance a dynamic. For me, they do not.

The difference is not always the words themselves, but the intention behind them and how they make me feel.

I enjoy words that reinforce the dynamic, highlight my vulnerability, or draw attention to truths about myself that I have willingly shared. I do not enjoy words that make me feel mocked, belittled, or genuinely lesser as a person.

The words should deepen the dynamic, not leave me feeling genuinely diminished as a person.
